Over the last thirty years the English Government has undertaken a series of policy initiatives that aimed to improve the vocational learning system and increase participation in it in order to meet the perceived labour market demand for intermediate and technical by: Learning for Jobs, OECD Reviews of Vocational Education and Training Policies, England and Wales (OECD, ) was released in October and assesses the main challenges faced by the VET system and presents an interconnected package of six policy recommendations.
